Redirect rule generator
Turn a list of old and new addresses into rules your server or Blogger will accept.
These generators run in your browser, so they need JavaScript enabled. Everything explained on this page is still readable without it.
Nothing is sent anywhere. Reload to clear.
Once a visitor has followed a 301, their browser may not ask your server again for a long time, so a wrong rule is painful to undo. Test with a fresh private window, and if you are unsure the move is final, use 302 until it is.
Paste one old and new pair per line.
Apache: into .htaccess at the document root. A
syntax error there takes the whole site down with a 500, so change one thing at a time.
nginx: inside the server block, then reload. It
will refuse to reload rather than serve a broken config, which is the safer failure.
Blogger: Settings, then Errors and redirects, then Custom Redirects. Paths only, no domain, which is why the Blogger output prints them as a pair.
